My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

I ended up not getting it :/ It was a special offer they had sent the watchers, so if I change my mind, I will message them to ask if they can extend the offer. If they can't, it wasn't meant to be There is just something so amazing looking about the aquamarine with the natural back: So I am...

My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

The top is just so nice. I am a sucker for those perfect "lines" in the wood, and always try to seek that out.

My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

For sure. That's what the little angel on my shoulder (or maybe the devil?!) has been telling me - that there is a really good chance that I wouldn't even think about the back once I have the guitar here. I just wish I could see the damn thing in person :/ Yeah I hear ya, but at the same time I...

My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

Thanks for sharing! I definitely relate to this. It's funny, because I would say my personal top priority is feel above all. And I am not overly picky with looks when it comes to all other guitar brands However, with PRS, looks usually end up coming top priority. And this is because they build...

My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

Yeah, that is true. I guess I was just looking for a common consensus opionion. If a lot of people who have seen the black backs seemed to say they are ugly, or not as pretty as natural, this may be enough to sway me against it. Or similarly, maybe most people say that they've realized the back...

My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

It seems like saving the money would be worth it, and more imporant. However, I have bought things in the past that I was unhappy with because they weren't the exact one I wanted. I have never had a PRS with the black back, so I am a little uncertain of how I will feel about it

Thanks for your input. I'm also leaning toward yes, but obsessively going back and forth in my mind, ha.

My Dream PRS is on sale, Just one problem...

Hello I have been eyeing a 35th Anniversary PRS for awhile now. My conditions are: Aquamarine, 10-Top, Brand new (or at least mint), natural back, pattern thin neck However, I really didn't want to spend $4500, which seems to be the price they all are. So yesterday, one went on sale for $3800...

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

I don't, I believe I used it once when I first got the guitar but haven't used it at all since then

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

Yeah good point. I'll be sure to try to find someone else to check the nut and file it if need be

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

Awesome, this is great to know. As nut filing/replacement is the one thing that the luthier did not do, the odds seem really high that this may be the issue. The only problem is that the place I bought the guitar from is not on the authorized PRS list. I did not even notice this until after the...

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

Very interesting, is there an easy way I could check for this? In other words, would the damage be something that is visible?

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

Thank you, yeah the nut filing or replacement is the one thing I have not yet done. I totally forgot about that before making my post. Is it something I could do myself, or best left to a professional?

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

Apologies, I forgot to mention that I do have some of that which I applied to the nut (and also a bit to where the strings touch the bridge/saddle area) when I did my own string change The one thing I have not done is have the nut widened/filed. Do you know if PRS sometimes require this?

It it possible for a tuning issue to be "unfixable"?

Hello: I purchased a 2017 PRS Custom 24 (brand new, old stock) about 6 months ago. When I got it, I had tuning issues right away, but I figured that a pro setup would take care of things. I found a HIGHLY reputable luthier in my area and took it to him. When I got it back, the tuning issues...
