Thank you very much for the additional infos and PRSs thoughts behind the execution.
Always interesting.
Regarding the neck angle vs string trees - there are staggered tuners on some strats that eliminate the need for string trees. The Wood Library Customs with a maple neck have a neck angle...
Not being concerned about any breaks.
It is the cheaper raw materials that do not please me - especially at this price point.
If it was the better way to do things, all PRS, especially PS guitars, would be built that way.
When the S2 came out they specifically said the use of a scarf joint...
I´m all for PRS and was very happy about the announcement of this model because I was gassing for one since I first saw the little leaks from John playing it.
But now that the specs are out - and the pricing to go with it - I can only ask one thing: "...really...?"
I´m usually defending the...
The cheaper PRS is probably not going to sound 7 times worse than the more expensive one.
In a blind test (mind you not youtube), with a good player an honest playing, I doubt one could justify the significant amount of money on top.

Basically a Custom 24 with McCarty thickness and electronics. Lots of custom one off finishes too
Check if...
Thank you very much for the info. I don´t know if I would have it refinished though, as the dings will eventually come back anyway. And shipping it insured from Europe to the US and back will be not the cheapest thing to do.
I think I can live with a little bit of honest playwear.
Thank you for the info about the different categorys.
I´ve decided to keep the violin.
But it is the only electric guitar I have left now, so I´m gonna have to play the hell out of it.
When Paul finally does come back to Germany for a meet and greet, I´ll bring it - hope he doesn´t cringe when...
After playing a decent number of PRS guitars with both the two piece and the wraptail,I came to the conclusion that in my opinion the wraparound bridge has more sustain and a more direct and focused tone. The PRS wraptails are awesome.
