Is the Ted is a true LP killer?

Will they ever do a 594 trem?

    Ted has touched down!

Wondering if I might have a wiring issue. Neck pickup has no background noise but bridge humbucker has some hum. Also, neck pickup set low enough but has more output.

    Ted has touched down!

Thanks everyone! I’m still in the getting to know you phase. The 57/08 pickups handle drive like no other. It seems they really want to stay clean and have a little filtertron flavor to them, similar to my old Starla. It’s definitely a warm and clean guitar excelling at clean to medium dirty...

Is the Ted is a true LP killer?

Maybe it’s the pickups and scale but I’m finding my Ted 245 to do smooth and creamy all night long. It can definitely twang too but with no ice pick highs at all. Is it the 57/08s ? I can increase the treble and presence when using this guitar. My Pauls can get raunchy and have more cut. Hard...

Is the Ted is a true LP killer?

Tough call! They’re both in same ballpark but they are different and you may play differently on a LP vs. Ted. The LP has the flatter radius neck, and I agree that pickup options could make it interesting to have both! I’m lucky enough to currently have both and enjoy the differences.

    Ted has touched down!

Ted McCarty SC 245 Ltd So far, beyond expectations. Love the neck. Chunkier than my others with WF profile and really digging the pickups. Will post more soon!

    Introduce yourself!

just saying a quick hello and update. I sold my red mcsoap trem a long time ago and had a core Starla Stoptail in vintage Orange. I recently sold the Starla since gigs have slowed down to a stop. PRS GAS has consumed me, and I hope to share something here soon.:)

    Introduce yourself!

Thank you Yossi! Your ME is sweet as well. I've played a couple of DGT's. The neck profile is a little different than the Wide Fat (all of mine are WF, but they vary). I have carpal tunnel, and the WF works better for me, less hand fatigue.

    Introduce yourself!

Hi All, I was on BaM as A440. I'm definitely a PRS fan, and have 3 that are all very different. My #1 for many yrs is a CE-22 goldtop. I also have 2 McTrems. One humbucker model in Amber Burst (I think), and the other is a Vintage Cherry Soap Std. I'm playing in a blues band and these all...
