The Blackstar HT Club 40 is a loud amp. I'll blow away my next door neighbors (And, my wife as well! Ha!) if I turn my amp up to 5. I like to play distortion as well, and so I've had to lower the Master and turn up the guitar to get good distortion. I think this has been one of my biggest issues...

Bass - 5, Treble - 7, Volume - 6 on the clean channel with the American voicing. Master set to 2 (out of 10) since I play at home.

I’ve never used 11’s on an electric guitar. It would be an interesting experiment. How much harder are bends?

I wonder which guitar has more stable tuning . . . A PRS S2 Custom 24 with a 6-pt system or an Elite HSS Stratocaster with a 2-pt system! Both have locking tuners.

Humm . . . Elites have a 2-point system. Wonder what that tells us about Fender’s thinking on the subject?

The technician that set up my PRS loosened the two screws in the back of my guitar when I went from 10s to 9s on my PRS. So I guess if I go back to 10s anytime, I will need to tighten the screws a few turns for proper adjustment.

I am enjoying the 9s I put on my PRS. Had the guitar professionally set up as well. Having two guitars, I like them to have the same gauge strings. Seems to help my technique with practicing bends. I really haven't noticed any less tonal qualities by changing from 10s to 9s on the PRS. I put on...

I thought 2-point systems were better than 6-point systems? I keep hearing that locking tuners and 2-point bridge systems account for excellent tuning stability.

My curiosity is getting the best of me! I'm wondering why PRS doesn't have 2-point bridge systems on their S2 Custom 24 guitars? Forgive my ignorance if they don't use 2-point at all. The bridge on my PRS looks like the 6-point bridge that comes on older Fenders. Just wondering.
