Riding at altitude is quite a bizarre experience the first time you do it, as you quickly find yourself being out of breath despite feeling like you've not put that much effort it, and it takes a long time to regain your breath even when you stop. I've raced the Megavalanche 3 times, which...

There's not that much to the basic droppers. A quick search suggests the Giant Switch uses a replaceable sealed cartridge like Brand-X/OneUp, so there isn't that much to service. Main thing is keep them clean, and if the top collar does come of easily, remove it occasionally and trickle in some...

Nice bike. I've always liked the look of Nicolai's, and have come close to buying one a couple of times, but never quite hit the buy button.

I do sometimes take things for granted, as I've dealt with these things for far too many years. Rebound damping - Controls how quickly the fork (or shock) 'rebounds' aka returns/extends from being compressed. Compression damping - Controls how quickly the fork can be 'compressed' I've just had...

Fork setup depends on the kind of riding, and how the rider likes it setup. As a generic setup, aim for 25-40% static sag. For more technical off-road riding, the classic target is to only bottom it out on very hard hits. For less technical riding, it's more common to set them firmer, to eek...

I'm feeling a bit broken after yesterday's spin with some mates, one of which I'd not been out with for a few years. Ended up doing 1600m of climbing. I'd not done that much in a single day since May last year, and I'm feeling it a bit this morning :/

I'm sure if you ask where you ordered it from, they'll be able to give you an idea.

To clarify, I still have both, but bigger wheels aren't any slower on tight stuff. You just need to ride them a bit differently. 29er's you have to get your weight further forward, trust the grip, and put a bit more muscle in. I demo'd a 29er when 26" was still the standard, and on tight steep...

Unless you're really vertically challenged (aka very short), 29er. 27.5" is a dying breed :( Most brands have finally worked out what works on 29er's, so they ride and handle a lot better than when they first appeared.

Sandblasted Swamp Ash SE Custom 24 Exclusive to Europe!

It could have been that. It's one of the few finishes I've thought would look better relic'd, just to show some raw wood and break up the plastic look.

I missed these, but Fender did a similar limited run of Strats and a bass a few years before these (just checked and it was 2015). I really loved how they looked in the photos, but when I seen them in a shop, I just didn't like how the Strat looked or felt. It just looked fake and plastic'y...

    PRS S2 10th Anniversary McCarty 594 - there's your sleeper !

I have a significant birthday this year, and I had been looking at the new SE McCarty, but that unpainted cut out on the blue I just couldn't handle. I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a standard S2 McCarty in Eriza Verde, when I seen these and that they were available in Blue and came...
