    One (low-watt) Amp to Do-It-All ....

I really like my Supro Keeley Custom 12. 25 watts Class A with master volume that makes it perfect for home or stage. Works extremely well as a pedal platform, does not have onboard reverb but I use it with a Keeley Trem o Verb and it rivals the reverb and tremolo on my Fender Amps. At $1300...

Did you buy it from a PRS dealer? They may swap it out for you under warranty.

    S2 Singlecut vs Vela Semi-hollow?

I don’t notice it all. The Vela is the most comfortable guitar I own.

Crazy to sell the S2 Mira??

I had a core Mira that sounded good but I just couldn’t bond with it. I traded it for two amps instead.

    McCarty 594 Thinline/Dragon 1 Pickups/s2 G&B pickups...observations

My friend is a very experienced guitar tech, so I would just pay him to do it. Might have to give it a go!

    McCarty 594 Thinline/Dragon 1 Pickups/s2 G&B pickups...observations

I am really tempted to put a set of 58/15S pickups in my 2007 McCarty.

    Dang Velas...

Interesting, what amp(s) were you using?

    Dang Velas...

I still occasionally play my other electric guitars just to make sure that the Vela is as good as I think it is. The answer is always YES.

    Dang Velas...

    Mostly the Firebird pickups.

    Dang Velas...

If you have sound clips of either or both I would love to hear them. I love the stock pickups right now, but I may buy a semi-hollow to go with my solid body.

    NGD - Magical edition!!

I played mine for over an hour yesterday. I don’t think I have owned a guitar that is as responsive, fun and easy to play as the Vela. It reacts to my amps and pedals beautifully, especially light to medium overdrive and compression as well as delay, reverb and harmonic tremolo. It does...

    Dang Velas...

It’s a great guitar, and it will suit some folks perfectly.

    Dang Velas...

We recently A/B’d my Vela next to an NF53. I was surprised at just how similar they are. The NF53 bridge pickup is pretty special, but the neck pickup isn’t as articulate as the D-style neck pickup in the Vela. For the money, the Vela wins hands down.

Ever notice PRS hate on other forums??

That’s a very diverse group of folks over at TGP. Some are very knowledgeable and experienced. Others not so much. And a few can be pretty obnoxious. Kind of like the entire country.
