We recently A/B’d my Vela next to an NF53. I was surprised at just how similar they are. The NF53 bridge pickup is pretty special, but the neck pickup isn’t as articulate as the D-style neck pickup in the Vela. For the money, the Vela wins hands down.
That’s a very diverse group of folks over at TGP. Some are very knowledgeable and experienced. Others not so much. And a few can be pretty obnoxious. Kind of like the entire country.
