I never modded any of my guitar (I modded cars/amps/pedals) - eventually I just spend enough time to test, try-hard and take enough patience to finally buy what I was initially looking for and what I want/need. I am not a tone junky either - I had my ONE amp setup for 30 years, with ONE pedal on...
Nothing wrong with a US BC Rich - there have been times where I would have done alot to get one of those 10-string Biches, but totally out of reach (and impossible to find in Switzerland then) :p
I bet they do an excellent job - But another problem is I am in Europe and as this guitar is 27 years old I don't have those necessary papers for the wood regulations necessary now, so shipping and customs would be a huge problem as well if ever I wanted it to be overhauled by PTC I suppose.
Well mine was my everyday compagnon since 1991 as well (been in the hardcase the last 5 years as I almost didn't play unfortunately - family issues) and seen many stages, jams and rehearsal rooms :) Eventually you have already seen the picture of it in another topic, but I'll post it here again...
It surely was (and the only one I played that day as so often). The poor Gibsons were taking dust even THAT Vee in the corner had an absolute killer sound (no idea what pickups were in there) but I won't tell you the weight, impossible to play it for more than 20 minutes lol
Hello all
A bit of nostalgy and also quite interesting, even it's a topic for the ''older'' generations. Before PRS got in the market, what guitars were you playing and what was the factor you switched or added a PRS-Guitar to your stuff in the late 80's/early 90's?
In my case I remember there...
Thanks for the feedback Alan
I looked into many things and for what I really want/need either the Nova or the G-Swstem are still on top of the list. Sure the Eventides H9 are top too, but don't allow me to just keep a basic reverb sound and for the solo kick in a delay, or a chorus to wet up...
Wow! Your whale blue hasn't faded over all those years? If I compare to my beautiful 1991 yours looks like new - mine is more grey/brown now but I love that faded color!
Lovely thread, I love southern rock and discovered some bands in here I didn't know yet!
I wonder why there is no reference to either Molly Hatchet nor Point Blank, both bands labelled ''Southern Rock'' - is it because Molly are from Jacksonville/Florida and Point Blank from Texas?
