Blocking a PRS tremolo... need advice

Okay I tried adding a block behind the trem block as well; I replaced the one in front as well, since I do double stops, and that was the point of blocking it in the first place (second to tuning stability). The claw is completely tightened all the way to the screw heads. I think I might have...

Blocking a PRS tremolo... need advice

No... I have blocked it off completely. It does not bend up in any capacity, only a millimeter to allow the block to fall out.

Blocking a PRS tremolo... need advice

Right, so addressing the points in the above messages: 1. My action went down rather than going up as the bridge went from floating to locked down by pulling up -- the block had to be sanded down because it was too thick to begin with. The claw is screwed down as far as it can go, a thicker...

Blocking a PRS tremolo... need advice

Hey guys, I have been having some serious troubles with the trem system in my Custom 22, so I decided to just block the thing off. I blocked with a little piece of wood sanded down to fit in the cavity (as seen in the photo below). Now that I have the block in though, there is an angle to the...

NGD! My first PRS!! (photos inside)

Hey guys! I have finally come over from the dark side and picked up my first PRS... and it's beautiful! It's a Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 in Antique Violin Amber. It's a 1999 which is the first year of production for the short-lived left-handed core series. I will post another post in a few days...

I'm in a pickle... left-handed PRS Tremolo Arm (USA)

Hey guys, I am new to the PRS world, I just got my first PRS this week (a 1999 PRS Custom 22) which is left-handed (first year of production lefty). The only issue is, the guitar shipped to me without a tremolo arm. I've done extensive research online, and I can safely say that I have been...
