So I’ve gotta ask, how many of you guys/gals already have your deposits in for the 40th anniversary Dragon? We’re likely just under 2 years out so now’s the time to get in line!
I’m crossing my fingers it’s not a double neck or a 12 string. I have enough trouble playing 6 as it is haha
Not sure it would happen, but a hollow body DGT Dragon would be sweet. With some choice burl maybe or something really unique wood-wise.
Does anyone know if the spalted maple HB from post # 14,180 is a customer direct order or going to a shop for retail availability? I need it in my life!
Also curious to know the neck wood used on the image directly below the back pic of the redwood lace burl, specifically the one sandwiched in the middle that has a black limba back. The neck isn't black limba too, is it?
Those all seem like very solid reasons to consider one. Sounds like another trip to Chuck Levin's is in order so I can strum on one. Very curious to hear the tonality difference provided vs solid body.
Yup! Got it from Chuck's. Makes me wonder if they just had a bad batch of plating material? I'd hope its not normal, otherwise it seems like a design flaw from square one to use it in the first place, unless they don't expect people to play the instrument?
This was the verbatim response. It happened to mine in a matter of weeks too, I just didn't bother reaching out to them until about 2 months after purchase. The new cover seems better, but we shall see with time.
"Thank you for writing PRS Guitars. I'm sorry you are having issue with your new...
I just got a WL CU24-08 back in June 22 that has smoked nickel hardware. After just a few short months, the finish completely came off all along the high E string. A couple weeks ago, I reached out to C.S. and they happily replaced the pickup cover, said it wasn't considered normal. Dropped it...
I appreciate your insight! I'm fairly new to guitar overall and haven't played any form of hollow body yet. I pretty much only read good things though.
Ok ladies and gents, please convince me on why I should consider a semi or full HB for my first Private Stock build! Lovely thread btw, all gorgeous guitars!
