I'm in the same boat. earlier in the year my wife got me a custom 24 charcoalburst that counts for a couple birthdays and christmas'. i treated myself for christmas by buying a Traynor YCS50 combo amp.

My wife and I do the same thing. Like you, as long as I pay my half of the bills, I am free to do what I want (as far as gear that is)
