I honestly haven't noticed it? It's there but only if you use high gain settings. To be honest its definitely more of a glassy or crunch pickup. I wouldn't say it's optimized for metal tones, so if you play to it's strengths the hum is unnoticeable.
I wouldn't touch the vela bridge height and...
The benefit of having the plate raised is that it makes it easier to remove and access control cavity. No need to pry the shield off or wiggle it off by shaking the guitar. I doubt it’s a cost issue since it would only add a few more seconds to CNC routing.
Yeah I’m thinking if they had slapped some JM635s on that body it would’ve been the perfect PRS. I’d get a silver sky but it’s just too similar to a strat for my taste
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knew why PRS discontinued the 305? It looks like such a killer instrument, for those who own one, could you share a pros and cons list/your thoughts? How does neck shape compare to newer prs pattern designs?
Yeah but like have it one way or the other if you’re gonna do vintage spec do vintage spec if you’re going to make modern appointments do that idk it just feels like they made a lot of compromises and considering price hikes there just seems to be less and less value in S2 line especially.
That’s concerning humbuckers are build to deal with that. I would recommend taking it to a tech or luthier who would have a better chance of diagnosing and fixing the issue.
Oh my god here we go again.
I was so disppointed when prs decided to go with non locking tuners for "vintage specs". Like I get it but it's ridiculous, locking tuners should be standard.
