You can't say you didn't have a shot at this guitar. After 2 1/2 years of sitting in Jack's back store room, I finally pulled the trigger and the brother to Les's "Hammer" is now in my "store room". As I told Les, the guitar has spoiled me to any of my other guitars. Ridiculous.
Probably just makes sense to buy the real deal - a Fender amp. They are not as expensive as a PRS amp and give you what you are looking for. Then, when you get back to what the PRS provides, add to your obsession with a HXDA :-)

So, the Mesa Engineering Express amp that i ordered finally arrived. The answer to the origin of the Celestion Vintage 30 question is that my speaker is clearly marked "Made in U.K.". So, no Chinese V30s in the Mesas.
For those of you who custom ordered your PS MCSC, how many of you stuck with the "jumbo fretwire lightly ground down" as it says on the PRS website? In other words, where PRS replicates the technique Gibson used in the '50s on some of their LPs where the frets are ground flat instead of crowned.
