Well, I have a Reclaimed Limited Vela and to me it doesn't really have a lot of telecaster sound or feel to it to my ear, it's got it's own thing going on. Neither of the pickups get the Fender single coil sound but I really like the sound of the D-Type neck pickup on it. It really manages well...

I have to say, my Vela is one of the plainer ones I've seen and I still think it's a beauty. I don't think there is a fugly one in the whole line so even if you get the last one in the run, I'm sure it'll be very nice. Hang in there, it'll be worth the wait... -Jim

Yep, my primary is my Martin CEO 7 which is a 14 fret short scale 00 size but I have played quite a few 12 fret models. My only 12 fret at the moment is a National resonator but I like 00 sized guitars a lot... -Jim
