    Volume pedal options

I just got a Hotone Soul Press II and it works well! It is an active volume pedal so no tone suck when I use it to back off on the input volume.

Getting the 24/08 SE Custom Ariza Verde with the 85/15 TCI pickups.

I have the 35th anniversary Custom 24 SE and I love the TCI pickups! I gigged with it quite a bit, the split tones were great for tunes like “Hear That Train a Comin” and “Long Cool Woman (in a Black Dress)”

    58/15'S' Humbucker in parallel?

Exactly what I was going for! I don’t know why it isn’t more popular.

    58/15'S' Humbucker in parallel?

I can't tell you how to do it, but it is definitely possible. I have a 35th anniversary Custom 24 SE, and one of the coil split switches died after 6 months. I talked to my friend who's also a guitar tech at a local music store, and asked if he could replace the 2 way switches with 3 way...

TCI Pickups vs TCI Tuned Puckups

P.S. A company I worked for was developing software to run over an Oracle database. We were in a meeting with product management, deciding whether the name should include "on Oracle" or "for Oracle". Someone actually suggested that we use "for on Oracle". So it wouldn't surprise me if a...

TCI Pickups vs TCI Tuned Puckups

The whole thing is something new and proprietary that PRS doesn't want to share with its competitors. Paul has found a way to analyze and identify certain properties of a great sounding pickup, and then to tune the circuit (by picking the right values for pots, caps, resistors etc) to...

    Anybody feel the same way?

I've known about PRS guitars since before they went into mass production in 1985. Back then, I just figured they were super expensive, and so I would probably never be able to buy one. Then, by the late 90s, they seemed to be everywhere, and it was kind of a cliche to me, all the nu-metal guys...

Interesting discovery today re: coil split

I’ve never tried a Katana, but I have a Pod Go that I play either through a practice PA at home, or an FRFR monitor on stage. All of my guitars show their distinct tones through the Pod Go, whether equipped with single coils, humbuckers, wide range humbuckers, P90s, or humbuckers rigged for...

Will the SE custom 24-08 get more colorways in the futures?

The 35th anniversary SE Custom 24 also has TCI pickups

Will the SE custom 24-08 get more colorways in the futures?

Agreed, when the TCI pickups became available on the 35th Anniversary Custom 24, I finally decided the time was right and bought a PRS.

Which Two PRS - Gigging Edition

My 35th anniversary SE Custom 24 is giving me all I need - 24 frets, whammy bar, treble bleed, and great humbucking and single coil sounds!

Neck pickup orientation on 35th anniversary CU24s

The whole reason I bought the 35th CU24 SE was to try the TCI pickups... after watching many videos and demos, I really believe that Paul's TCI method helps him get the pickup voicing right where he wants it, whether on the Silver Sky, the Paul's guitar, or the Custom 24. That is what convinced...

Neck pickup orientation on 35th anniversary CU24s

Well I can see that inner coils active would be more like a strat in between sound (ie. active coils closer together) where outer coils active would be more like a Tele middle position sound (ie. active coils further apart). So Paul is picking the orientation that sounds best to him. But what...
