My experience is the same as bodia with a private stock guitar from the UK but no charges to me. Seller was a pro.

All Benedetto archtop jazz guitars along with many, many other fine jazz luthiers use a 25 in scale. It happens to be perfect for a 7-string but most use 12s to 70s. It would, however, work on longer scale fretboards also.

FYI, jazz guys tune it to a low A....when a chord has a root on the 5th string the chord can then by rooted on the 7th string rather than the 5th. It makes for a very open sound.

I also love ebony fretboards. However, recently I came across a ziricote neck/fretboard on a private stock and it is very, very nice.

At first I didn't like the rotary switch but I've grown accustomed to it and now I do like it. It just takes some time.
