Thanks ViperDoc. My local shop is a PRS Dealer and spec'd this guitar from the PRS Wood Library with a Flamed Maple 10- top and they specially ordered it with a flame maple neck and Brazilian fingerboard.
I love the deep dark chocolate color of the Brazilian fingerboard and the way it pops...
I also wanted to ask a question for PRS 594 experts. This particular PRS 594 Semi hollow has so much sweet detail, air, nuance and versatility. What are your thoughts about the difference a Brazilian Fingerboard makes or do you think that is most cosmetic? If not all that significant, do you...
I am attaching a video I made at home yesterday. Disclaimer: I've been playing Acoustic guitar exclusively for the past year. I haven't really picked up my electric more than twice in that time. So my touch is dialed in to acoustic and I am trying too hard with my bends. Also haven't played with...
Funny you mention the PRS Hollowbody II. That was the guitar that started All this! Lol. Ironically enough, it was so impressive to me I went back the next day and played it more. I really liked it, but wanted another frame of reference. As cool as the HB II is, I felt the tone was somehow a bit...
Thanks everyone. I am over the moon!! It is so classy without being overly flashy.
Yes, This is a "Boyd Burst." I never heard of this color before. It is so magnificent in person! In a room filled with heart-stopping PRS showpieces, this one spoke to me. When I asked my rep at the shop to grab...
May I introduce the PRS 594 I pulled the trigger on today? It blew me away. I tried the similar solid body 594 that was great, but this Semi-hollow 594 Wood library / Brazilian Fingerboard is incredible. So much air, detail and tonal nuance inside!
Your new 594 guitar is MIND-BLOWING!! The Satin Finish paired with that Wood Library top is OFF the hook! I just pulled the trigger today on a Semi Hollow 594. Amazing and mind blowing but that Satin finish looks SOOOO amazing! Congrats!
Hey Pete and everyone else, Curious how the tuning stability has been on your 594's? also curious (*for future reference) if staying in tune is just as good with the PRS Tremolo bridge?
I LOVED Pete's last post with Brian C and all the pics of the most incredible collection of World Class PRS...
Are these Core production models, or special custom Private stock or one-offs? I wasn't clear the SC594 had become a production model?
Share pics please!
I played the 594 and several Historic Les Paul 59's side-by-side. they were around 8lbs ish too. the PRS was simply more comfortable to me ergonomically, so I can really relate to that. and sonically, I was simply more immediately fluid and creative on the PRS McCarty 594. That sealed the deal...
