    One of my fondest memories was saving money toward a Gibson Les Paul in 1986. My dad came in and helped when I fell short of being able to pay for it. We drove together to pick it up. I still have that guitar today. I will never sell it. Hope your son has a similar memory 40 years from now.

    I got mine used on reverb. It has a tiger quilted maple top, a korina neck, and a cocobolo fretboard. Allegedly. I like it a lot, even if it doesn’t. If only PRS would just let cut and paste a photo here.

    Which would you choose for your PS build?

    My DGT is an orange tiger WL quilt. Based on this, I think the quilts look better in blues, silvers and purples. The flame top never fails a color.

    Steve, my sense is there are a lot of less is more people hereabouts. You might be a more is more? All in all the people here are generally decent and cool.

    NAD - sorry, no one *needs* a 100 watt amp anymore!!!

    Clayton at Hi Tone recommended the 50 watt, which was probably the right call. But it leaves me thinking…. If you buy the 100 watt, there’s no second guessing later

    Interesting. I will run my SSH straight in my amps with tone all at noon and report back soon. I will try and compare with the DGT for a reference.
