Hi-
WIth the new Hollowbody iis, is the body the same dimensions as a normal 594 McCarty? I would guess the carved back is a bit deeper, but what about the lower bout width, etc?
I can't get my hands on one to sit with it.
Thanks-
DG
Open up the back. Mine (July 2019) has an extra resistor on the bridge and neck volume pots. This is wired into the same lug as the treble bleed circuit. I "think" mine is "TCI" equipped. Edit: Today I pulled the entire harness out, there are certainly extra resistors on both volume lugs...
Both volume pots do have the bleed cap, but on my 2019 gold top, there is an extra resistor on the bridge volume pot as well. Asked Shawn about it and he said only that there is a new schematic being uploaded to the website.
Great looking DGT. Any chance you could post a photo of the control cavity (wiring, etc.) I bought a DGT last fall and it has an extra resistor on the bridge volume pot. I'm wondering if this is a pre-TCI version? Thanks!
Anybody have opinions on the 24 fret neck? I had an S2 that I loved. But I'm itching for a core model now. Any comments on neck dive/ feel/ sound? Thanks
Anyone had any experience or care to comment on the new 85/15 S pickups? I'm looking at a S2 with these and was wondering what they sound like/how close to regular 85/15s? Any help would be great. Thanks.
Thanks. I may try that as well with the tune o matic bridge. IF the roller bridge kills the sustain or tone, then I'll have to come up with something different. I love the way this guitar sounds and I just don't want to change that.
If anyone else has ideas, I'll take them!
Thanks again.
That is what I thought would work best too. I've found a couple of aftermarket bridges at stemwac but I'm not sure they would fit (12 or 14 inch radius at the bridge) without some major modifications. Has anybody else had experience with doing this?
Thanks.
Anyone know of a drop in replacement roller bridge for a Core Starla? I'm looking for a little more tuning stability. (Maybe that is a dream for a Bigsby?)
I had a Reverend PA1 a while back and that guitar was solid tuning wise. I'm wondering if a roller bridge will help the Starla?
Any...
Looks great. I'm glad I found this thread. Trying to pick between these two models exactly. I already have an s2 Mira and I love it. So I'm wondering if the satin Standard 22 will be much different than the Mira? Maybe the semi hollow custom is better compliment to the Mira? Any thoughts?
