hmm - you must have watched the Behind the Scenes/Making of episode on SNL. It explains everything. I read the books; hated the ending; as a result, I can't really invest in watching the show - unless they go completely off the tracks, the way they have with True Blood.

That's how I remember the 59 from Paul's last visit; but, like Paul said, the neck pickup is THE sound from 59s. Tha's why I picked up my MEII at that show - using the neck pup, it sounded identical to the '59. :)

Flying Vee works. Santana/Ted headstock. Quilt cap. DGT pups, SC58 bridge/tailpiece, 4 knobs - like a 245, but taps for each pickup - like a Sig. Heck - gimme that, I don't even need birds or quilt - just white like my old V, works for me.
