Update: the problem is not here anymore. Went away on it's own. Poping pedals, thump from the chorus, dial up modem sound on standby. Only the quiet delay hiss is present, but it is very quiet. Maybe I had some power issue in the electric installations in the house? Beeps on standby puzzle me...

That's exactly my dilema. I presume the amp works best with a V30 too, since the MT 112 cab has a V30 as well. But yeah, 212 does have its advantages, no matter the speaker
