    Silver sky fret size

I'm not sure when it happened but there was a change around 2021 from vintage to regular 45104 frets.

Let’s see your PRS family Photos!

A small but important part of the family

    NPSD Brazilian madness

Not much to say. 594 Brz Neck. It really rings and sings. It took the spot of the 20th PS. hehehe Now...

    PRS Robben Ford model

One this caught my attention, not only the headstock is bigger, it looks also to be in a different angle. Of all the possible mods done to the original McCarty to bring it closer to the Les Paul, such as pickups, tuners, various scale lengths, even the whole body shape, the HS angle was never...

What percentage of your guitars are PRS?

I'm not sure, but around 40 PRS certainly less than 50%.

    The "Official Silver Sky" Thread

Lots of things I don’t get, but ok, this is a signature guitar, the artist can do whatever he wants. But: - poly finish. Really? - 7.25 radius...are bends prohibited by law now? - 6230 frets????? These are the old vintage frets. Small. Tall and narrow are 6105, which are basically STANDARD for...

    Old private stock

    Maybe sub 150?;)

    Unreleased PRS Strat-type John Mayer

I'd love to see a core version of this, but it has S2 all over it. If not SE. Starts are so easy to make compared to set neck guitars that it's a joke. You can make hundreds of strats every day, and a S2 version of this could easily be in the sub 1000 price range, which takes the sales volume to...

Darker maple binding on new McCarty?

Looks like they stained the maple side as the middle of the top, instead of the usual natural. Looks cool!

    Sisters reunited, old PS content

So, after managing to grab PS 141, I located her sister 140 (the order comissioned was actually 4 guitars, different models), and did a deal on her. She has a pair of 5909, originals are in the case. There a unique vibe to these early PS, they were made on a much much slower pace than nowadays...

Who here has an obscene amount of guitars?

If I start to sell one guitar every month I'll reach double digits sometime in 2026. That's how stupid I am.

Fake? I think so.. whats you opinions?

This is wrong in so many aspects that is funny. Headstock shape is off, truss rod cover too. Body carving off. Position of the knobs, bridge...geez, this is as legit as a 3.78 dollar bill.

John Mayer Signature Amp - The J-MOD100

Do I think it's expensive? Yes. Do I care for that fact? Depends how good it sounds. I just dumped a Bogner XTC because to make it sound I had to have 2 co-pilots to clear all departure procedures... My main amps today are 2 Two Rocks, a Topaz and a CRSV3, and I use them both for on clean tone...

    Old PRSi?

That will always be a touchy subject. Of course the makers want evolve, and of course their jobs is to sell. More and more. That said, I recently got my vintage PRS, a 87. That is the first PRS I've had that somehow has a hand made felling. My oldest one before that is a D2. But even the D2...
