    New tuning buttons

I misspoke here. Only the 24-08 has Paul's pickups in it. The Custom 24 is still the 85/15. So I'm going to take back what I said. I actually think it's great they offer Paul's pickups on one of the guitars, while the others are still the normal route size or 85/15 pickups. Paul's pickups...

    New tuning buttons

I actually like the new tuner buttons. I’m the opposite: not sure I ever really got along with the aluminum tuners. I have a much bigger issue with the fact the Custom 24’s are all routed for that freaking goofy shaped / proprietary shaped Paul’s pickup. It’s a great sounding pickup, and I...

    The rarest Paul Reed Smith

I reached out to the PRS team about this a while ago, and apparently, they ran it up the flag pole to Paul; however, for one reason or another, they weren’t able to make it happen. This is awesome. I wonder what year that is? It looks like they had a different drummer when that video was...

    The rarest Paul Reed Smith

Anyone else have this CD or cassette? Talk about a super rare item only for the most fanatic PRS fanboys haha This was such a great band. I saw them perform live at one of the Guitar Centers in 1997. After the concert, Paul wrote a message on and signed the back of my ‘96 whale blue Custom...

Shawn's 15 Year Employee Guitar, Start To Finish

This was just a reall great thread and journey. I’d pay to have a video series like this as part of any PS I order. Thanks, Shawn

Thank you, and yes sir, it’s a hardtail bridge. In addition to the tone knob, I never use tremolo bridges either. They’re a nightmare to tune, imho, so finally about ten years ago, I got so frustrated I said I’d never buy a guitar with a trem bridge again. And I haven’t!

For the guys who can’t see the pics in the original thread, hopefully the below pics work.

I simply never use it. A lot of guys use their tone controls, I’m just not in that group. :) Unfortunately, I don’t, but if it’s for a PRS PS, it’s near guaranteed to be the best you can find of that species. Cheers, my friend!

    NGD: PRS Private Stock

I spec’d and ordered this last year from the guys at The Guitar Sanctuary. If you’re in Dallas, it’s definitely a place you should stop by and check out. The Manager, Brian Meader, has some pretty good history with PRS. I was super excited to finally pick this up! Same specs and build as my...

NGD: PRS Private Stock One-off Build

Yea, I think this is accurate. I don't remember if he sold it to him or gave it to him, though. Either way, it was an awesome guitar that definitely kick started my motor for PRS.

NGD: PRS Private Stock One-off Build

I ordered this last year from my guy, Clint, at The Guitar Sanctuary in Dallas. This is my second PRS PS one-off build, and once again, it's absolutely flawless. Clint already has the wheels turning for my third! Quick story, I've always lusted for an emerald green PRS since I saw Daniel...

    Relics? I don't get it

I never got relic'd guitars. I go to extreme lengths to try to prevent even the natural wears of time from affecting my guitars, and I can't even imagine paying top dollar for what is essentially a poseur guitar. That video was painful to watch. Relic'd guitars are a fad that will eventually...

NGD: PRS Private Stock One-off Build

Thanks guys! To answer a few questions, it's whale blue with a fixed bridge. The one knob is the volume knob. I went with a 25.5" scale and 12" radius, because that's what I'm used to from 20+ years of playing Fenders, etc. The 25" scale and 10" radius fretboard radius always felt super...

NGD: PRS Private Stock One-off Build

I ordered this back in April from my guys Clint and Bryan at The Guitar Sanctuary. Awesome dudes who are not only PRS encyclopedias, but who took really good care of me. They helped me spec the guitar and determine the woods. The rep sent me pics of all the woods (top, body, neck, fretboard...
