Angelus Custom SE ...
I've only had my PRS Angelus Custom SE for a few months and have tried several different strings sets on it and so far, my favorites were a set of Martin FX130 Phosphor Bronze over Silk core.
To understand why, you have to realize how even toned this guitar is. The silk...
I'd agree that they are quieter than the other brands that I tried. But they are plenty loud enough for me or at least the S. Korean, PRS Angelus Custom SE is? I'll know better when I try them on my other guitars, too. But, at least on this guitar, the tone is to die for!
Happy tunes!
Last month (March 2015) I purchased one of the last PRS Angelus Custom SEs.
When it arrived, it was still, "new in the box" but it had been built in 2012 so the D'Addario string set was already 3 years old.
Coincidentally, the only unopened box of acoustic strings that I had, on hand, was a...
Having read your question, I more closely examined my top. My iPhone photo of the guitar doesn't do it justice.
In photos, a huge problem is the highly reflective, mirror like high gloss finish on the entire guitar. It reflects everything! What appears as darker blotches is actually reflections...
I've just added a brand new Angelus Custom SE to the herd!
It didn't include any information on it's electronics and I haven't found any on the PRS website, either?
Anyone that has any details about it, would be greatly appreciated. Even the brand and model might be useful?
I'm looking for...
Love your guitar cab ... do the shelves slide out?
BTW I have a puller from Dunlop that doubles as a bottle opener and hangs on my key ring. It's flat and triangular shaped and does the trick plus it's always with me.
How to register SE with PRS
I just got my wonderful Angelus Custom SE & hard case but it had no hang tag so I contacted the dealer.
They told me to send in the card with a copy of the sales receipt to PRS ... that is what PRS told them to do.
BTW My serial number is found inside the guitar on...
My new Angelus Custom SE has arrived!
I ordered my Angelus Custom SE from GC but it never arrived and as it turns out (after a month!) they didn't actually have one? Fine.
I next ordered one on amazon from Gear Hero HQ in FL and it arrived ahead of schedule! And it is a BEAUTY! Looks and...
Roadie Tuner might be what you are looking for?
I recently purchased a Roadie tuner on a special deal for $80. Even at the normal $100 IMHO it is worth it!
WOW! This single device more accurately tunes all of my ten of my guitars and my Uke, 10x more accurately than anything other than a true...
I was thinking that might be the case. The one that was on the guitar looks right and was adjusted to the PRS spec. but when I drop it it kind of thuds? Especially compared to the glassy tinkle of the Tusq nut? I am going to order the PRS nuts (comes only in two pack) and I'll keep you posted...
I'm in the process of restoring my 2000 Custom 22 to it's original designed state.
Unfortunately, the previous owner cut the nut slots to handle heavier gauge strings than the original 9 set so I need to replace the nut.
I had a black Tusq XL for a different model that I tried filing down to...
I don't know why but I can't get my photos to show? I posted them on Google photos (linked, below) and also on Flickr and neither link shows here? Try the link below to see if you can see them?
This includes photos of the reinstallation of the rotary switch, Dragon II pickup rings and p'ups and...
Yes, I put back the rotary switch/circuit mainly because it just looked so cool! It looks better than any other switch I've seen. Sort of like the insides of a fine pocket watch? Nicely done! And silent when switching, too! I'm not sure how they managed that one?
But I am very pleased with the...
