I prefer the single cut models. I’ve had a few “doubles” over the years. I find them to be much closer to a Les Paul than a DC is to a Strat. The SC models are (to me) like a very refined LP. I already have a couple of LPs’ so I don’t really feel the need for a SC.

I’ve noticed that many of the multi-piece backs aren’t matched very well. Not that I would expect them to be on the budget line. I’ve noticed on the website they still claim Mahogany necks & backs on the SE 594 models. It’s always seemed to me that Mahogany would be a bit darker. So I wonder...

I know this is a bit of a necro-thread at this point. The 22’ Core 594 DC that I recently acquired has the LT+ pickups in it. I’m operating under the premise that they were not stock. The hang tags make no reference regarding what pickups it was supposed to have. I like them just fine in my DC.
