    DGT SE Goodness

I own several PRS Core and SE guitars. My SE GDT is one of the best sounding and playing guitars I own. PRS has improved the quality of their SE line of guitars to the point where their quality is approaching their Core models.

    PRS hate! Why?

My thoughts exactly. I also bought a PRS Core Studio last year. It is one of the best playing guitars I have ever owned.

    Happy belated birthday Paul!

    PRS hate! Why?

Brand loyalty runs deep in many older guitarists (like me…I’m 70). Fender and Gibson were THE brands to buy if and when you “arrived” as being recognized as a serious professional guitarist in the 50s and 60s. Owning an American made Fender Strat or Telly or a Gibson Les Paul, ES 335 or SG was a...

    NGD DGT

It sure looks as good, if not better, than the “10 Tops” on two of my PRS Core guitars!

    NGD DGT

Wonderful color and grain! Is it a ten top?

Do I really need a PRS Studio guitar?

My Studio is a fantastic guitar. Plays easily, sounds great and looks amazing!

New PRS Guy Show & Tell: SE DGT & SE 594...and now SE Silver Sky!

What I have found is that the tones obtained with the SE DGT are very dependent on the positions that the volume and tone controls are set to, one’s playing style and expression, and the amp choice and its settings; more than most other guitars I own. However, once one finds the sweet spots this...

New PRS Guy Show & Tell: SE DGT & SE 594...and now SE Silver Sky!

An American made Core PRS guitar is expensive because of the amount of time highly skilled craftsmen put into the creation of each guitar and the cost of the high quality components used. The SE guitars are currently less expensive because of the trade-offs that are made in the component quality...

New PRS Guy Show & Tell: SE DGT & SE 594...and now SE Silver Sky!

I received a new SE DGT today which I purchased from Wildwood Guitars. Wildwood did a perfect setup on my guitar…it arrived perfect with no need to do any adjustments of any kind. I played it for a couple hours late this afternoon. My first impression is that it punches well above its class…it...

    SE Paul’s Guitar Issues

i have both the Core Paul’s Guitar and the SE Paul’s Guitar. I bought the SE version for use I live gigs (due to potential theft issues” and the Core version for studio use. Both guitars are great. The SE is certainly somewhat different in various ways, but not different enough that I would risk...

    SE Paul’s Guitar Issues

I have had a SE Pauls guitar since they first came out a couple years ago. Mine came well set-up and had zero cosmetic, mechanical or electrical flaws. The only work I have done to it has been periodic cleaning and polishing, strung changes and one minor truss-rod adjustment since I have owned...

New PRS Will Not Stay In Tune

Just for reference, I have purchased a Core PRS Studio Guitar from Wildwood Guitars and it arrived not only in tune (!) but set up perfectly. I bought my Core PRS Paul’s Guitar from Heartbreaker Guitars and when it arrived it only required a very small truss-rod adjustment to eliminate a buzz...

    SE Paul's ... a sample ....

Good job! The SE Paul’s Guitar is a very good Guitar priced very reasonably. I take mine to gigs and use my Core Paul’s guitar for recording sessions.

Why do people have more than one?

Why do I have more than one…because my wife lets me! lol I have both a SE Paul’s and a Core Paul’s. The SEs go to gigs and the Cores go to studio sessions.
