PRS SE Hollowbody Standard replacement Nickel Stoptail Bridge Studs

John Man metric Brass polished studs.... $15. That's what I put on my SE Hollowbody II and they work perfectly.... Make sure you purchase the metric ones though, since it is an import guitar

    SE Hollowbody thread

Long time Stalker of this thread.... I received my SE Hollowbody II a couple of days and was able to record a "Test Drive" video. I already replaced the knobs with PRS Core, as well as added SE Locking tuners, and Brass Bridge studs. I recorded the guitar through a Roland JC-40 with stereo...

    My modded SE Paul's Guitar

I used the bushings from the original tuners So I did have to ream the holes on the backside of the headstock, but it was very minimal. There is a small lip on the new tuners that is wider then the original holes, which is why I had to ream it a bit. Took maybe 1 min per hole to ream. Not bad...

    My modded SE Paul's Guitar

Thank you! The background music was actually played on a Musicman Majesty, loved that guitar but couldn't get used to the neck and fretboard radius :(

    My modded SE Paul's Guitar

Thank you everyone for the kind words regarding the guitar!! And yes!! That's an SE fretboard! The pickup rings were a direct install, no new drilling...They're actually Gibson pickup rings that I had laying around, they match the switch tip perfectly too.

    My modded SE Paul's Guitar

Hey everyone, I recently purchased a SE Paul's Guitar and there is something special about this guitar. The notes ring and sustain with such musicality it's a joy to play. Unfortunately I wasn't completely sold on some aspects of the looks particularly the black pickup rings. I like the shape...

509/513 players and the middle pickup? + NGD

Dr. Doom.. I dropped the center pickup on my strat as well, but with the 509, the pickups are screwed directly into the wood, so there appears to be no adjustment. I may have adjust my technique a bit. RepNosewood... I normally play more rock/classic rock, so I have no idea if they can play...

509/513 players and the middle pickup? + NGD

Hello, I recently purchased, I think one of the first production 509's in black gold wrap, built on 11-15-16. Needless to say I haven't been able to put it down. I also currently have a SC hollow body II and have had in the past a Custom 24, a SAS, and a modified S2. The pickups on the 509 are...

    My S2 Mods: Pic heavy

Justmund- You may be right about the drop in. I never realized they changed the configuration around. Mojo1 fan- I bought the tuner buttons from stewmac. They were a direct replacemet, took 5 mins to install. I bought the large ones. Here is a link...

    s2 mud?

I had the same issue with my S2 custom 22 before I did a pickup swap. What helped me a lot was changing the pickup height. Changing the height did a lot for clarity and such. I eventually swapped out the pickups w/ 59/09's, which was a big improvement. One thing I did notice though, I have a...

How do you prepare for a jam session? What was your first jam session like?

Thank You all for the great advice. The only thing that sucks for me is that I get 2 Saturdays in a row off every Six weeks and that when they have the jam sessions. I work nights till midnight so I'll only be able to attend every 6 weeks. I'd be there every Saturday if I could, just to enjoy...

    American parts on s2?

I just modded the $hit out of my S2 semi hollow custom 22, this passed weekend, and used all American PRS parts. I bought a MANN-made tremolo and it dropped right in. I bought the prewired harness as well, and the pots fit, but the wires were WAY too short to work. I had to completely rewire...
