Back in my racing days……

Managed to get two rides in this pst weekend. Even managed to out-climb some ‘yoots’ on the trail, which is a big win in my book ;) Oh, and got some new socks too!

22 inches of snow meant time on the skis last week, but this was finally rideable again, albeit very slowly.

Shakedown ride on the new bike today. Got a bit muddy and greasy as the ground thawed, but this bike is magnificent.

They used to do something like that as a 4x at a local ski resort at the end of their season. The jumps were at least 10ft tall with gaps and drops. I never raced it but many friends did. I have video somewhere so if I can dig it up I’ll post it.

28F degrees this morning. Was hopi g the trails would be frozen but there was still running water in spots. We’ve had over a foot of rain since the beginning of December, which is VERY high for this area for, well, any time of year. Trees aren’t faring well, so dead trees and ones with shallow...

What size tires are you running? My hardtail takes 27.5x2.8 and I’m hoping they will have enough float to tackle some snow riding this year!
