    NGD: Sending it back

After the 2nd dud from Sweatwater I no longer purchase from them. First one arrived with a Low E falling off the fingerboard due to a poorly cut nut from the factory. This on a $2200 yamaha acoustic. Second one had a BAD floyd. This on an EII ESP. Both issues SHOULD have been found prior to...

    NGD: Sending it back

This was the last one they had or will be getting. As soon as I pulled the plug the item was omitted from the page. Not waiting a year or longer for a possible replacement. Can wait 2 months and get a different color but I grabbed this one specifically for the color. Sending it back. Put a...

    NGD: Sending it back

I currently have 7 PRS Guitars, 2 Cores, 3 S2s, and 2 SE models. All are great quality. My favorite is my Wildwood S2 35th Anniversary. It's just an incredible instrument with a perfect neck for my broken hands. Decided I wanted another like in, preferably in a yellow, amber, honeyburst style...

Questions about the private stock program

I've done CNC programming. With the modern software doing a Mashup would take less than an hr. You'd literally be cutting and pasting a paragraph and then let the program "run" in test mode and watch it go. And I would expect these guys can drill a hole on a press for controls or use a router...

Questions about the private stock program

I just want the controls layout of the 594. I'd prefer the 25" scale. Pattern thin neck.

Questions about the private stock program

In an alternate reality I'd order 2 Aquamarine with natural sides and back Livingston Lemondrop satin But since I haven't died yet to collect the insurance I have to consider only one lol

Questions about the private stock program

Pretty boring to most. Hybrid Cu24/594 Think Cu24 McCarty 594 thickness and control layout Add in a recessed trem ala Tremonti Ebony board with bird outline Perfection

Questions about the private stock program

Questions about the Private Stock program. If you shell out the 11k, wait a year, only to find your guitar sounds like crap and is a dead piece of wood, what happens? I prefer to play as many as possible before buying as I know every piece of wood resonates a little different. Every neck is...

The One Pedal you MUST have. Home. Studio. Gigs

Besides the obvious tuner What is one pedal that you have at all times. You simply can't imagine plugging in without. I know this gets brought up now and again, but I feel like it's always good to re-discuss, especially as new tones and so many new models are hitting the market. For me it's the...

When did Nitro become the standard on Core models?

Just curious about when PRS officially went to Nitro finishes on Core models? I may want to grab one more core. I know the subject to some is indifferent and to others it can be quite polarizing.

    Why the 594?

The scale being 625mm and what the old Les Pauls were is cool. I like the 594 over the standard McCarty because of the control layout. The toggle belongs up near the neck ;)

SE McCarty 594 vs S2 McCarty 594…worth the price difference?

The SEs are excellent guitars. The S2s are incredible value American Made guitars. The S2s are made from less pieces of wood, usually a plus. Biggest difference I've seen between the S2 and the SE is the fretwork and the frets themselves. The tops are usually nicer on SE models as its a veneer...

NGD: Went out looking for a gut string... come home with a

May still do a Mannmade Trem, and add pointers to the SE. But great player, neck very similar to the core. Not quite the same resonance and tone, but close enough for a backup and for shady bar gigs lol

NGD: Went out looking for a gut string... come home with a

A few changes to make it more mine. The Tremonti Pickups are great but I put the same DiMarzios that are in my other Tremonti and my Les Paul. Plus double creams are awesome
