Man ive used Tremonti's before and just don't gel with them, too trebly and too much output for me. Nowhere near the amount of clarity and response of the Bare Knuckles I use. The \m/ pickup is actually pretty sweet. I've played with it all day today and put it through the grinder and I'm really...
I just installed it last night and gave it whirl. The Metal \m/ definitely aren't lacking output. They are just a notch under the Tremonti's as far as output is concerned and one of the 2 hottest pickups PRS makes. . They are definitely really clear, not as clear as the Bare Knuckles but a big...
So I've hunted around and haven't been able to find much user info on the metal \m/ pickups specifically the treble one. Anybody out there have any experience with them. The best I can gather is that it is similar to the Tremonti bridge but not as bright and cleans up much better. I'm looking to...
Splurge for a set of Bare Knuckle Juggernauts and be done with it. Extremely versatile, can do anything from jazz through metal. Med/High output, extreme clarity, articulate and dynamic. The Seymour Duncan Nazgul/Pegasus and the Sentient are great as well but the Juggs are just too tough to match.
USA specs isn't a necessity but it does help me with my OCD haha. With a new wiring harness, switches, and pots you just get more reliability. The pots and the 5 way switch were a big upgrade since I think the 2 and 4 position on the BK Juggernauts further increase its versatility, especially on...
Yeah it's just got so much more clarity than my Skervesen. I run both through a Pro Tone Dead Horse OD Deluxe and the Skervy is just a little bit muffled and its finicky to EQ out. The PRS is fat and clear when fretting big ole maj/min 9 chords across all 7 strings, great cleans, and cutting...
Hey thanks guys. It's had a lot of work done. The PTC team did the headstock refinish and replaced the wiring harness and pots to USA spec. I put a Hipshot bridge, Hipshot Griplock locking tuners on it, the black hardware, and the pickups are Bare Knuckle Juggernauts.
One of the best purchases I have made in the last few years. Ive got a Skervesen Raptor 7 as well and 9 times out of 10 i'll reach for the PRS just bc of the feel... Don't hesitate, JUST DO IT!
The Mules are an awesome set.. Have a set in a Mushok Baritone and they are legit. So much clarity and response. Would recommend over the USA Tremonti's. Take a look at the PRS 59/09 sets to.
I've had a few different sets in my Tremonti.... started out with the USA Tremonti pickups to Bareknuckle Aftermaths and now I've settled on Seymour Duncan Custom and Jazz set. Really love this combo, especially for the versatility. Lots of clarity and tightness in the low end. I keep this...
Found a couple sweet deals on some axes here locally. 2009 Charcoal Burst 10 top Tremonti for under $2000 and a 2010 Custom 24 Grey Black for about the same. Definitely gonna see about getting one of these but wanted to get some input from the census here. I already own a 2013 Custom 24 Charcoal...
Learned the hard way a few years ago when my Hughes & Kettner Triamp MKII failed mid show and didn't have an adequate backup. Right now I'm gigging the 50/100 watt Archon as my main amp and bringing a Mesa Boogie Mark V 25 along just in case which is a great head as well. I've used a single...
It was done by a buddy of mine who is a luthier for a guitar restoration company out of Orlando. We filled in the neck pickup and switch selector cavities and refinished it.
