I have the exact same guitar. It's my number one out of my ES355 and my Gibson Goldtop Les Paul. Beats them both.

Anyone own two or more of the S2 Series?

I have a custom 24 and a singlecut. Two totally different feels. I compare them like this: The singlecut is a battle axe, sounds heavy as hell. The Custom 24 is a samurai sword. Much more precise. The quality is the same with both, Ive played live with them both. They are two completely...

John Mayer has a VERY special new PRS he's loving....

I think "Continuum" by John Mayer is excellent. He's a fantastic player, wish he would do more of the bluesy stuff.

PRS Experts, I need your help.

I am possibly buying this from a friend, if not then he is going to sell it. I have not the slightest idea what this is. I like it a lot, It plays really well. The neck is very close to my S2 custom 24. So, pattern regular? Is it a Studio model? McCarty? What should I offer him? Winged tuners...

    S2 Custom 24... meh

I just bought my second S2. Also a singlecut, but a solid body. Installing treble bleed, maybe new switch... Done. I agree with you wholeheartedly

    PRS S2 CU24 Finish.

Its a very thin poly finish, with the stain underneath. They used this finish all throughout the 90's, before V12 was invented. I will say, owning two of these S2 models, they do chip easily, because the finish is so thin. But it also lets the wood be more resonant when you play the guitar...

    NGD! S2 Singlecut W/ Review

I was on the fence too with the inlays. I really wanted pealoid style. But They really grew on me, on both of my guitars. Just a little update, Honeymoon is over. I think I prefer the SC to my Cust24. Because of the tonal variations.

    Advice for Potentially Purchasing PRS?

Go S2 singlecut. Ive been able to pull all kinds of great tones out of mine. Including some country licks. You can tap the coils, and get the single coil sound or go full humbucker. AND the pickups are great, so no change there.

    S2 CU24 - Are they great guitars?

I use it a lot, I also have the S2 singlecut, which I have discovered is more my style..at least for right now. The quality of the S2 line is outstanding. They are built to be workhorses. Other than a few truss rod turns, nd some intonation, I havent had to do anything to my s2 in over a year...
