Any tips to tame harsh treble on SE Zach Myers?

Try rolling the volume down to 8. This works wonders on one of my guitars that needs the treble taming better than rolling off the tone. If it works you could measure the change of resistance it took to get you there, solder in a resistor and then go back to 10.

    Instantly want more PRS guitars...

I’m just a noodler on guitar, but I bought 6 PRSs in the last year or so to add to my lone 1 from 2018.

    $600 for an S2 594??

I got a nice S2 single cut version for $750, and threw some Fralin P92s in it. I was mostly looking for a decent host for the pickups, didn’t expect to find one that nice at that price.

I haven’t decided on my wiring plans yet, but I have the tuners. For some reason my favorite strings seemed delayed, so I’m waiting….

Are there any HB pickups which split to a great sounding SC…???

I’m not that far into exploring all the tones, but so far I’m enjoying my new Zexcoil Tribuckers. 3 voicings, all hum canceling: Single PAF Hot P90 The singles and PAF are both great imo. Haven’t found the p90 settings that I love yet.

Modded my S2 35th anniversary and I love it even more

So I was not in love with the stock pickups. I swapped them out for a set of Zexcoil Tribuckers. I replaced the volume and tone with stacked CTS pots, and replaced the mini toggle with 3-way mini toggles. I like these pickups a lot more than stock so far. Time will tell how much. It’s pretty...

I put 8s on my guitars. Good enough for Jimmy Page and Billy Gibbons, good enough for me. I also think they sound better.

Yup. That was my plan, and why I wasn’t complaining earlier in the thread about my initial impressions.

I agree the lack of rolled edges are the biggest disappointment. The rest of your complaints aren’t problems on my SAS.

I got in about 90 minutes tonight plugged in for the first time since getting it. Played through my Tonex setup with amalgam captures. It sounded great and was fun to play. For under $600 this seems like a hell of a steal. I played clean, edge of breakup, low through high gain, sampling all the...

I have a 34” scale custom built swamp ash bass that’s 6 pounds 6 ounces. I’m told that that kind of super light resonant swamp ash is almost impossible to get now. My bass is about 15 years old. Redwood burl top. Ash body, maple neck, pau Ferro fretboard. Sorry for non-prs content but...

    PRS SE Swamp Ash Special!

I checked before pulling the trigger. 8 pounds. Too heavy for me for basses, but fine for a guitar. I think it plays great. The setup and fretwork out of the box are excellent. It even arrived in tune. I only have 20 minutes on it unplugged though. It arrived late in the day and we happen to...
