Thanx. In fact, this was a limited run made in 60 copies for the 60th Anniversary of Thomann, that's probably the biggest retailer in Europe. They had ebony fretboards, too!

Last mod on my Tremonti Custom: hand-made bone nut. PRS 59/09 Treble pup on the bridge, BKP The Mule on the neck; master volume & master tone; coiltap switch for brudge humbucker; parallel-coil tap-series switch for the neck humbucker; Grover 406c locking tuners with pearloid buttons; lampshade...

Convincing the wife - How far is too far?

For the difference, I would go to the first one. I love 59/09s.

    85/15 vs 57/08 vs 59/09

If you decide to sell your 59/09, let me now. :D

    85/15 vs 57/08 vs 59/09

I think that covered vs uncovered is not a fair competition. I know you can't do nothing about it, but a reliable comparison should be covered vs covered or uncovered vs uncovered. Thanx for the recording anyway, and congrats for your playing, stunning.

    New Mann Made bridge installed!

Thank you very much, John, for your kind availability. I think the best compromise would be the whole MM 200NOS. My only concern about buying in the Vault regards the custom fee... Can you make custom clearance?

    New Mann Made bridge installed!

Thanx for your clarification John. And what about the vibrato bridges? Even if the differences from PRS factory bridges and MannMade bridges are merely tonal, everything changes if I compare MannMade with korean SE bridges, right? In this case the differences should be functional and structural...

Convince me to buy a Prs SE

I own a Tremonti Custom SE. Best neck I've ever tried! Fast as an Ibanez wizard, comfortable and bending-friendly like a Gibson 60. Love the PRS vibrato bridge, too. Stable, very comfortable for palm-muting, good excursion.

    New Pups for SE CU24

+1 for 59/09. Don't really think it's hotter than the HFS, but it's the best pup I've ever tried for the "blues - classic rock - hard & heavy" range.

    PRS Pickup Suggestions

You got it right! 59/09 is clear, warm and articulate. Tremonti is hot and edgy. Tremonti is better for hevy riffs, 59/09 is better for clean tones. But, IMHO, 59/09 gainy tones are better than Tremonti's cleans... so 59/09 wins overall. The 59/09 bass is really fantastic, but you can find...

    PRS Pickup Suggestions

As a Tremonti fan, I can tell you the Tremonti bridge is very crispy and edgy, and you need a big fat amplifier to obtain good sounds from it. I think you should seriously consider the 59/09 set. The new PRS pups, such as 59/09, 57/08 and 53/10 are all fantastic, but you should need the hotter...

    57/08 Bridge pairing
