Unfortunately I emailed PTC about doing a recarve on another McCarty I have that is currently wide fat and they said they no longer offer this option. Anyone know of someone in the Los Angeles or Southern California area who could do a recarve?

Yeah it seems odd as I have never seen one with a wide thin. The measurements really line up to being a wide thin profile. If work was done on it, it was done right.

This looks extremely similar to mine. So the 7th fret has that little space under the fret edge. Where there was glue or some filler. I also haven't had a problem I was just curious as my 07 does not look later or this at all.
