Yes, it's insanely expensive. A 1 bed apartment is twice the $ of what I'm paying for rent now for a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house with a nice yard. At least Nashville is affordable for the most part, especially in comparison with Annapolis.
My Wife grew up in Stevensville and after we visited I fell in love with Annapolis. Nashville is another option because I'd like to be around other like-minded musicians. Mainly the nice weather and live music are the main attraction.
Nashville is a little confusing to an outsider looking to relocate. There's bad sections all around the city center from what I've gathered. Brentwood area looks like the best bet. Where are you located and what's some decent places?

I've searched the entire surrounding area and there's no decent 1 bed, 1 bath apartments for rent for under $1200. I'm equally baffled how PRS is only willing to pay prospective employees $12 an hour...
My Wife and I are looking to relocate to the Annapolis area (and working for PRS would be the ultimate bonus) but looking for an apartment to rent has been daunting. Are there any secrets to get an affordable ($700-900) apartment? All I'm seeing are $1200 and up.
