I think installing the Alnico Blue ruined me, it makes other speakers sound slow or dull. Pretty much every guitar into that slightly modified Vox sounds great.

I think because I’m used to my Vox AC4HW with an Alnico Blue- which even when cranked up is pretty loud but still dynamic. I wish they made a 50-100 version, makes me want a Orange Crush 100w since it’s not class D.

I like it, I just wish it had a little more punch- it’s not totally a volume thing. It could even be the cabinet but it just doesn’t much push and to get some push you need to be close to half volume.

It was Drop D but I didn’t properly tune before so it’s slightly off.

It does feature my 2014 PRS CU24! It’s the mini Friedman into a Vox cab I stuck a British greenback in. It actually sounds pretty decent for what it is, I might keep it for a while. Into my Mesa 4x12 is wasn’t nearly as good- no idea why.

So I made a quick test video, more for my new microphone/Shure interface; but I did use the Santana and for “vague high gain” it really doesn’t sound bad. I may keep it as is and tune it even lower.

I had a question related to this; for people that have watched it. Besides better quality audio (working on it) and maybe a better lighting/camera set up, any advise to make it more interesting? Besides better playing of course, haha!

I found my Custom 24 with 59/09s to be better sounding than my SG with P90s and even my Les Paul R8 with custom buckers with this amp! My only “complaint” is the bridge is much hotter compared to the neck. Let me know what you think. I messed up a little but didn’t feel like editing it or...

I really actually like my 59/09 and dragons in my 2014 CU24 and 1997 CE22(compared to the SE pickups), I just can’t justify spending almost as much as the guitar is worth. Who makes a “hot paf” that would work for maybe both things and isn’t expensive?
