I believe they are stock. My new SC594 I got last year also came with them. I think the new versions have since changed out to something different. Enjoy!

I wouldn't worry about the little blem. Enjoy your Paul's Guitar, as I do mine. The TCI pickups (they're not Narrowfields) are winners. I think of them as PRS's version of a minihum. Next up, check out a SC594.

I use either Stringjoy, SIT, or D'Addario. All work fine and last well enough.

Medium jumbo 6150 guy here. I do have a Grosh T with tall narrow 6105. Large jumbos 6100...nope. Takes up too much real estate.

Agree to lower the pickups a bit. I have a Studio, with the LT bridge, and more recently a SC594, with LT+...which has a little more hair, as expected. I raised the Studio bridge pu a little to be more balanced with the NFs. No adjustments needed with the 594. They split very nicely too. No...

They're muting/lowering your volume? The leaders have little confidence in you, to say the least. If you don't mind that, stay. If that bothers you, express your disappointment with the leaders. If things don't go your way...be on your way.

You can learn to adapt to your Studio, since it will not adapt to you. I anchor my hand towards the rear of the bridge, and pick in the open space between the pickups. Also, my middle narrowfield sits low, just above the ring. I love this guitar.
