Does the guitar sounds good when you play it unplugged?
If not then the guitars a dud for you.
If it does sound good unplugged I would consider changing the pick ups.
A Mossberg 500 is great idea for home protection.
As Swede said ear protection is very important. You must keep it right next to your guns.
If have to shoot indoors and you are not wearing protection there's a great chance you will black out. Especially with a shotgun.

I can't see anything beyond fret tangs..If the fret ends feel sharp have them smoothed by a tech. This can happen to many guitars due to seasonal climate changes. It's easy to fix.
The thing that's so bad about the CE getting relic'd is that after 40 years of everyday play it will never look like that one in the video.
The poly finish does not wear. I have 20 year old CE that has tons of gigging and abuse and it still looks almost new.

My PRS adventure started in 1986 with a whale blue CU. I sold that to go to school. Then I replaced it with a 1990 CU24 whale blue. That one is gone now also.

I scored on a nos 2007 PRS Singlecut Trem with a rosewood neck. This is the first new PRS in the last 20 years or so.
My other PRSi are from the early 90s.
The guitar is spec'd with 57/08 pickups, quilted 10 top, wide fat neck...
