The 2024 vela introduced me to the narrow fields. I was blown away. Loved them as single coils. So spanky and great in the neck position. So I hunted down a 2011 Studio stoptail version. Wow. The best HSS I have ever played for hum free in all positions. 🔥 More versatile than the Pauls or 2024...

it should only stay shiny. The finish isn’t that thin that it should wear. Somebody can correct me but that’s my experience. I notice wear on the hog guitars where grains aren’t filled. That’s part of their beauty to me

I would assume they stay the same. They used a light weight button and the tuner is specific to the silver sky.

Reminded me of what I liked about the reclaimed. It sounds different than the older velas. Punchy and spanky. Chimey. Never Ice picky. More versatile. I’m a big fan. The lack of the hum in the neck position is wonderful. I found the old neck pickup picked up hums easier than some of my strats!

You won’t regret it. Very spanky. Louder. I think the bridge split sounds even better now.

Maybe I’m just blown away by narrowfields. But it’s nice and loud with a beautiful range. Maybe I should check out an NF3 next. It’s blows away a Paul’s TCI pickup if I’m being honest. And I thought I love Paul’s pickup
