    Santana Retro vs Santana II

I've had other PRS' and even a couple Santana IIIs. In fact I currently have an older KL-33 korina that I love. But I've always wanted to buy a new-from-the-factory Santana. According to PRS website the retro has an 85/15 pickup in the bridge, I'm not sure how different it is from the santana...

    Overall direction of PRS guitars

No I'm not the owner of the website, I just stumbled across it. I mean, he uses Squier guitars through digitech multi effect pedals.

    Overall direction of PRS guitars

Fair enough. Just so y'all know, as a newcomer here, you guys actually sound angrier than he does! And as a newcomer who owns and loves several core PRS guitars, I only posted it to start a discussion. I agree, he seems to have a strange chip on his shoulder. But give the guy some credit, he did...

    Overall direction of PRS guitars

I found a website where someone wrote an article basically saying that he didn't like PRS guitars because all the guitars on sale at GC and Sam Ash are the blingy, flame maple tops and what he really wanted was a real simple, players guitar with a classy vintage finish like a metallic frost...

S2 Mira--the good and the bad

Yea I tightened the screws on the tuner buttons, but they still have play even when the button is tightened down. It's not play in the button, it's play in the actual gears. They just don't feel as accurate or solid.

S2 Mira--the good and the bad

Hmm. I wonder if I just have a bum set of S2 tuners then. I mean they aren't terrible or anything, but they definitely aren't as stable as my core guitars.

    Santana pic of the day

My III w/ dragon 2's. Favorite in the thread so far is the astounding rosewood top. That is just spectacular. For people wondering why there is such a cult surrounding these guitars-- The Santana model is essentially the original PRS. Paul's first guitars were basically les paul junior DC...

S2 Mira--the good and the bad

^^^ core or s2? This thread is about the S2 Mira and I'm looking for comments about tuning stability and general impressions of the S2 line, not the core guitars. The core guitars--I know they are rock solid. I have several of them. My goal in getting the S2 was to have a PRS that I could throw...

S2 Mira--the good and the bad

Wait, do you have an S2 or a core Mira?

S2 Mira--the good and the bad

Just wanted to provide some feedback to PRS and get the community to weigh in as well. I recently got an S2 Mira. Some things were executed very well--the frets, fretboard, and general playability are great. The weight, feel, are very well balanced. But the guitar is a bit too light for me. The...
