The PRS book has a listing for a Standard 22 Maple Top starting in 1998. One of the options was McCarty electronics, volume, tone , and 3 way toggle. The book also lists a Standard 24 Maple Top with the same options. Chrome plated locking tuners were listed as original equipment on these guitars.
In the early to mid nineties, the Artist II and Artist III models had semi hollow as an option. Necks on the Artist II were wide fat, and either wide fat or wide thin on the Artist III.

I don't know how anybody could put a price on that goldtop until we know exactly what it is. To my knowledge the limited edition was the first and only PRS guitar with a TOM bridge until years later. What jazzedout surmised makes sense although it doesn't seem to me something PRS would do. For...
Thanks Brado. Definitely royal blue as hand written out under treble p/u. No modcat in early years. I'll post up a p/u cavity pic when I get a little time after cleaning it up and new strings.
I stand corrected, and I prefer the look of yours with the "binding". I wish my '93 custom had it.
