A Beat Up PRS … Anyone Have One?

My original inquiry was not about reliced guitars. I was asking about legitimate wear and PRS’s. I see precious few being gigged and the ones I’ve seen look clean. I’ve seen well worn Tele’s, Strats, 335’s, LP’s, etc by professional musicians who are quite “skilled.” So, I was wondering if...

A Beat Up PRS … Anyone Have One?

Glad to hear this. I think few people are willing to gig these beauties. I’ve seen very few on a bandstand over the years.

Well, maybe these guitars are just too damn pretty for most of us to beat them up. Not many beaters for sure.

A Beat Up PRS … Anyone Have One?

Just curious to see a well worn, beat-up PRS. I’m not talking about a chip in the finish. I mean a road worn guitar. I only see clean, beautiful examples. Thanks.

    Rosewood Fret Board Question

I do too. My board is basically black. Looks for all the works like ebony. But PRS says it’s Rosewood in its literature on MEVs.

    Studio + MEV

17 sound configurations, and I still end up on the neck HB most of the time …

    Modern Eagle V Pickups !

What’s the best contact info to communicate with PRS? Thanks.

    Modern Eagle V Pickups !

I completely agree with this. Just got a '23 MEV and the neck Humbucker sounds like a noiseless P90 to me - or a Wide Range HB. Incredible clarity and snarl when pushed. I'm learning the insturment still - it's great.

    Rosewood Fret Board Question

I'm seeing some really dark fretboards that look so much like Ebony, but I think PRS just has some really dark - near black - Rosewood boards. Is this right?

    PRS hate! Why?

Used? No. They are great playing, great sounding guitars which are distressed. I like PRS’s too.

    PRS hate! Why?

I think Dennis Fano got it right - he said he distresses all his Novo models so people actually play them.
