I never had a S2 but i had a CE 24 that has those HFS and VB pick ups in them... i kinda of got a muddy sound from them as well! but i traded that for a P22 with 53/10s! now those are amazing sounds pickups! soo smooth and powerful!

You got one of the Album tremontis?! geez... if i could afford one of those i would pull the trigger for sure! I need PRS to sponsor me... i got to get to recording some of my songs.

I just bought a p22 from 2012... i was told they are 53/10 pick ups. the tag says "P-22" for the pick ups... either way they sound really good.

First post! I had a CE24 up until today actually (traded it plus cash for a 10 top P22). I thought it was a great guitar! I found the sustain was better on the necks that weren't bolt ons. Me personally, i'd upgrade to the cu22 especially if the CU22 is in better shape.
