So I sold my first PS and it HURTS.

I'd be willing to bet that whoever the new owner is that they would be quite happy to offer you the right of first refusal if they ever decided to sell it. It's good karma and wouldn't we all want to be treated the same way?

PSA: Awesome Contour Case option for PRS Doublecuts!

I am really psyched to see that Jeff now has a template for PRS guitars. In the world of pricey and sometimes fragile acoustic guitars and mandolins Hoffee cases are known as being among the best protection available. After I slipped in snow and fell onto my case holding a '62 Strat and broke...

The Edward Van Halen (EVH) Prototype PRS; 1 of 2

You just made a seriously cool guitar even cooler.

    Pomagranite. Tomorrow. Finally.

I keep looking at both the neck and that quilt....I can't ever recall seeing one guitar with a neck like that and a top like that. That's the only guitar I could ever imagine trading my absolute favorite PRS I've ever had for. I hope the color grows on you, Tag. You scored some beautiful wood!

The Edward Van Halen (EVH) Prototype PRS; 1 of 2

Hans- that is beyond cool. EVH made me start playing when I was 12 years old in '82. My Aria electric got the whole home made stripe job, complete with double sided tape to hold extra picks. With PRS being my favorite guitars I see your new one and can't help but think it's like a Reese's Peanut...

NGD - Pink Korina DGT Content!

As a big fan of shell pink or grandma or any other name that is awesome! Old birds look great on it. I'm happy to see you have a pink DGT again. Congrats!

NGD - First Private Stock - Faded Aqua Violet Avalanche!

That's the stuff man! Is it me or is there an increased interest in semi-hollow/trem PRS's? For me it started with Tag's praises for the design. Seeing your new one is really exciting. Congrats and enjoy! I hope to join the semi hollow/trem owners club soon.

PRS Collection Guitar or PRS Collectible Guitar...

I lean toward collectable ones myself. My '88 Sig sounds better to me than any other PRS I have played and while I have compared it with a few PS I have never played a collection so what do I know? To me there really can be something magic about an older guitar. Not to knock the new ones but...

    Private Stock Friday

You know, when I play my own PS I'm in hog heaven. It's everything I could ever want in a guitar in terms of feel, sound, and of course looks. Then I look at this thread and all I think about is how I should spec my next PS. Thank you, Shawn. I know it'll happen again, likely sooner rather than...

    Spalted maple and it's tonality?

I'm no expert but I have a Custom 24 with a spalted maple top and it sound killer. I have an '88 Sig that I also love though they do indeed sound different. I think I prefer the tone of the bridge pu on the spalted top and the neck pu on the more "standard" topped Custom. I had wanted a spalted...

    To Everything, Turn

Hans- that pic of you and your daughter sums it all up quite well. We've never met though we had a couple of conversations and your enthusiasm for all things PRS was clear but we talked a bit about balance and family is so important. I didn't play a stringed instrument all weekend because I was...

Thanks To JustRob, I Feel Like A Putz

I can relate- my first few years with PRS guitars were all 80's models. Eventually I got a used PS Custom 24. Played it for over a year 2-3 nights a week. One night a guy asked if he could try it as he said he had never played a PS. He plugged it back in, opened the volume up, and then lifted...

Wanting to turn my HXDA head into a 1x12 combo:

That idea of a more portable 1x12 version of the HX/DA is very appealing, as long as it wouldn't sacrifice too much in the way of tone? Lugging my 4x10 combo last night through the labyrinth to where we set up to play had me really thinking about a 1x12...covered in paisley of course.

    Amp covers

I bought a 4x10 PRS combo from Brent at The Guitar Shop and he was able to get a padded cover from them that fits perfectly and it really helps when loading the magic school bus we use to schlep to gigs knowing it's pretty well protected. I can highly recommend the PRS covers if you can get one.

    Guilty pleasure guitars: What's yours?

For me it's always been JEM's. For years I had several, including a 10th anniversary, PMC, and each color of the initial run. I loved playing them but in the end some guitar maker in Maryland set the hook on me and the obsession led to gradually selling all of the JEM's and diving into what came...
