Dragon 1 Set in a Superstrat

True. I mean, I'm planning on it either way. I won't know how I feel about it till I personally try. Just wondering if anyone else has given it a whirl. I've really only ever known if Dragons in a PRS.

Dragon 1 Set in a Superstrat

Hey hey! A bit of an oddball question, but I'm wondering if anyone here has used Dragon I's in a non-PRS guitar - specifically, a Superstrat style. I know the Dragons were built for the Custom 22. I picked up a set for a decent deal, in the hopes of eventually landing a PRS guitar to put them...

    Semi-Weird Question/Seeking Input: S2 594 vs Core CU22

I've been finding that with my amp (a Landry M100L), I've got all the low mids I could ask for. I love the chunk, but it's too much of a good thing with certain guitars. An EQ in the loop would help there for sure, but I think you've mentioned is worth keeping in mind. For once, I do have the...

    Semi-Weird Question/Seeking Input: S2 594 vs Core CU22

I feel like that would sound killer for that sound!

    Semi-Weird Question/Seeking Input: S2 594 vs Core CU22

Awesome. That's where I'm leaning. Part of me wants to try a Core just cause I haven't yet. And I'd like the additional snap from the trem bridge and extra scale length from a Custom, even if it's an S2. But I know I genuinely enjoy playing the S2 594, and that's gotta count for something. I...

    Semi-Weird Question/Seeking Input: S2 594 vs Core CU22

That's a valid point. In looking back, when I've gotten rid of them, once was to try a Knaggs I saw a good deal on, the second time was to get a guitar that I thought fit the cover band I play in better - landed on a super strat. Now I have an original project again, and find myself wanting to...

    Semi-Weird Question/Seeking Input: S2 594 vs Core CU22

Hey there! So after having owned one twice, I've grown to realize that I really enjoy playing the S2 594. Between the Pattern Vintage neck and the forearm bezel of the S2 line, it's just a joy to play, and I feel like I've always played more "inspired" when I've had one. Of course, I wound up...

PRS Newb - Pattern Vintage at the right price

I can definitely see that. Even checking sold listings on a few site I can tell. And they're almost always in pristine condition. If people sell them, they like them, just want a different flavor.

PRS Newb - Pattern Vintage at the right price

Yeah, seems like mid-high $2k range is most realistic, albeit a bit idealistic. I can probably work with that. Seems like a worthwhile investment by all accounts. There's a guy nearby who has a few core 594s for sale, so I think I'll see where that road takes me.

PRS Newb - Pattern Vintage at the right price

Good to know! This is a year I've really gotten to be mindful of guitar ergonomics, even get a nicer strap. The Pattern Vintage on the 594 is just addictive to me.

PRS Newb - Pattern Vintage at the right price

Hey there, I got to borrow a friend's S2 594 SC a few months ago. Really liked the finish (faded blue smoke burst); but, what stuck out to me was the neck carve. I am a average-tall guy, with big hands. The pattern vintage neck felt amazing in my hands, and the nut was a great width. I felt...
