Someone on another forum posted there's a new regular production McCarty 594 being produced? Any more info on it? Couldn't do a search for 594 as it's too short.

Curious if anyone has raised the tailpiece off the deck via ferrules on the SC's with the two piece bridge? I'm used to decking and top wrapping on LP's and other TOM-equipped guitars but my last two semi's, I ended up raising them off the deck and going string through for a nice improvement...

Computer says no. Don't love a satin finish quite that much but I realize it'd be a painstaking process and that's probably a reasonable figure.

Got an answer back from PRS. Would necessitate stripping and refinishing in satin nitro. Not sure what that would run and guessing it's not cheap. I think I'll leave it be and spend money on lessons.

I have an SC-58 Artist package with a very high gloss V12 finish. It's actually more glossy than a DGT I owned at one point. I'm a big fan of semi gloss or satin guitars and I'm wondering if, other than nitro, there's a possibility to get the V12 finish in satin? Anyone ever brave enough to...

I think I bought a set of your DGT pickups a while back actually. I don't know, I played through a different amp tonight and was pretty pleased. I do get that muffled sound with the tone turned down and I think that's what's bugging me. I may be a low output pickup kind of guy...

Need a bit of advice and insight from a few who may have been in the same position at some point. I have a wonderful SC58 Artist package. Easiest guitar to play overall that I own. Just butter. With that said, I have another single cut in which I've had a set of "boutique" PAF low output...

So...I now have a set of 57/08's out of a 2011 SC-58. Took readings on them and to my surprise, they're hotter than what I expected. Bass (neck) 8.54ohms Treble (bridge) 9.12ohms They definitely have a different voice from a set of 59/09's, more vintage is the only way I can describe them...

Believe you me, I'm not complaining :) Such a great-playing guitar and the weight is just a bonus, IMO. It's just a hair heavier than my Paul's Dirty 100 and the Corsa. Everything I own is under 8 pounds now except for my ES which is about 8.5 and feels like a tank in comparison.

Paul could just make more covered 59/09's and offer them for sale. What sort of prices are you seeing these days? There are a lot of Fenders and Gibsons with substandard pickups that need replacing. Paul should see opportunity in this chaos.
