NGD - PRS Custom 24 Floyd 10 Top!

Awesome looking Custom!! I have to think that a Floyd guitar would sound different than a PRS tremolo guitar. More wood is removed for the Floyd and locking nut.

    Was bored so...

Wow! That's a killer batch of Floyd equipped PRS's! Titanium saddle screws and lock screws?

PRS PS #5905 - wood selection.

Wow! Choosing between all those planks would drive me insane! Flames, or quilt? Quilt, or flames? Ahhhhh!! They would throw me out of the factory. Gotta love a faded blue quilt top - should be a sweet NGD thread!

    History of the PRS McCarty?

I was into the McCarty when I read the first literature from PRS explaining about the "old colors and tone woods" used, the thicker tone, and the simple layout (no trem, old style tuners). I guess the world was simpler back in the early 90's! My '94's serial number is 4 19,xxx!

Putting covers on Dragon 1 pickups - to pot, or not?

Retroactive thanks! I'll just sell the Dragon Treble pickup then, not worth messing up a killer pickup - like you all said.

    Are McCartys still in production?

Coming up on the 20th anniversary of the McCarty - I'm betting the McCarty WILL return!

Putting covers on Dragon 1 pickups - to pot, or not?

I scored a set of Dragon pickups, and would like to cover them with nice nickel covers. Should I dunk them in wax after I cover them, or no? If I do, what do i do to protect the Dragon Bass and Dragon Trebble labels on the back of the pickups?

PTC has my '94 McCarty for a re-fret!

Standard PRS frets (I tried a DGT and wasn't loving the super jumbos on it). Should play like butta when I get it back!

    PRS McCarty side marker question???

Why was one marker standard for so long? To be different than every other guitar company? I can't see a functional purpose for only one dot at the 12th?

My SCT IRW returns to its place of birth for some serious make-over

Couple of MONTHS? What are you getting done - string change and tuning? ;-)

    McCarty Tuners

I have a set if the Gotoh Kluson locking tuners, bought them for my LP. I never liked how you have to lock them with a coin, so I took them off. Bet they are a drop in though.

    McCarty Tuners

There are small holes for grease (not oil), but I've never greased my tuners, so I'm not sure. If they are working and holding tune, leave em alone! Also, locking tuners are not a drop in replacement - different screw down bushings, different holes in the back of the headstock. I would leave...

How do I ship this thing?

Lucky I live on the East coast - so when I send my guitar to the PTC, it will cost way less than $85 (with free dumpster box)!
