I was also disappointed to find out they closed. Not local but I bought a used 2018 core custom 24 sight unseen from musiquegagne.com and it was like new. I also bought a 35th anniversary custom 24 from Lauzon music, same senerio and it was perfect. Not local but excellent experiences.

I ended up raising the bridge and leveling the strings so they are flat. Later I will add an arch to the string configuration to see which I like better. It is much easier to get clear notes by raising the action.

Definitely good advice. I want to fret the guitar as well so I will only adjusting the saddles. I have a dedicated guitar I will use for slide. Last night I installed 11s and set the action to 0.12" at the 12th fret. I will play around with the string configuration in an arch as well as flat...

My time is free so whether I setup the strings flat or with a radius I would do it myself. What better way to learn about a guitar then working on it yourself. I want to play slide and also fret the guitar so I will raise the individual saddles. I will probably go with a medium string height...

Aside from raising the action to play slide should the strings follow the same radius as the neck or should they be inline/flat?

I was concerned at first the bridge and top moved up due to improper storage but according to PRS they were designed with a front and rear radius so that is a relief.

I reached out to PRS and this is there response. "Thanks for contacting PRS Guitars. The SE Angelus top and back are designed to be radiused and not flat. From the photos this appears to be correct. Thanks" This is a relief.

I bought a 2013 SE Standard from Reverb and after looking it over I noticed the top and bottom are bowed outward. The intonation, neck alignment and string height look good. I am wondering if this model came from the factory with the top and bottom bowed outward?

So today I went back to the shop and ended up taking home the SE Tremonti Custom. The neck has a similar feel to my CU24 which I find comfortable. I may upgrade to locking tuners. I see some upgrade to core Tremonti pickups. How do they differ to the SE Tremonti pickups?

I dropped into a local music store and tried out the SE 245. The neck has a similar feel to a Gibson LP which I do not find comfortable. I have a 2018 core Custom 24 and the neck feels great to me. Which model single cut should I look at with a thinner neck with pickups similar to a Les Paul?

I just noticed they use the same bridge on some core models. I didn't realize they had intonation screws. Good to know. Thanks for the feedback. I need to drop into a store and play around with one to see how they feel.
