I believe the 10th anniversary S2’s were the test to see if the market would be interested in S2’s with American electronics and upgraded birds. I wonder how they did. If they sold well I bet the whole line goes that route. The S2’s have gotten progressively more expensive over the last 3 years...

That purple is AMAZING. I want the same color but instead of light center to dark outer I want the reverse of darker center fade to light. Man that’s a pretty guitar.

The 10th anniversary ones that just came out a few months ago and people are still waiting on will still probably be on the market a year from now. If not it’ll probably be another 5 years if I had to guess.

First off the pickups in thinline 594’s are 58/15 “S” pickups up until 2013 where they updated to 58/15LT “S” both sets are relatively cheap on reverb as long as you’re not confusing them with the NON “S” versions which are the American core pickups. Second 58/15LT “S” pickups are not “worse”...

I had one of my 2021 S2 thinline 594’s develop so discoloration under the finish and sent it to PRS for evaluation and they’re refinishing it under warranty. They quoted 15-16 weeks for a turn around is the only downside. Upside is I’m having them install Phase III tuners while it’s there...

Yea I really want to put in an order for a private stock thinline 594 but modding my current thinline to core electronics first to see how it sounds and feels before I make that kinda jump. I just enjoy the way my forearm feels better on the s2 top carve compared to the lip on the cores.

The 10th anniversary S2 594 is amazing I got mine about 3-4 weeks ago. I think I might have been one of the first to actually get theirs!

This. I bought phase 3 tuners for mine that I planned to replace the vintage tuners with but haven’t gotten around to it since the current ones are working well enough.

You can select “zero interest” as a search filter on reverb!!!

That’s what I used to think too until I experienced Musicman’s customer service. Holy crap they’re on another level. So quick to respond. Meanwhile I contacted PRS customer service about a finish issue not one but 2 of my S2 thinlines are experiencing and haven’t gotten a response.
