Tremonti from PSF in the wild...

When Mark Tremonti, approached Joe Fenton and commissioned the artist to decorate his first-ever guitar, the result was a one-of-a-kind PRS guitar masterpiece that looks as badass as it sounds. Watch the paint job in progress on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4ISS2YkweE

Corroded saddle finish: is it fixable?

I used to work next to a re-plating company, and on lunch I would go over and see all the various thing they re-plated, They did anything baby boots to car parts. You can re-plate but it would probably be more costly than buy new saddles. The problem leaving it as is, is that it will...

    Worn / Reliced PRSZ

I bought a used SE and there was not a scratch on it, but the guy put stickers on it. What a pain to remove. A bit of elbow grease I managed to get the sticker off the head stock, but I am having so much trouble getting the sticker off the tremolo cover. Other than that it has no scratches...

    S2 Custom 24... meh

Oh I agree with the feel of fender not being my taste but the guitars have been in the hands of hendrix, gilmore, clapton Etc. any guitar that is not totally unserviceable is able to be modded and made a competent performer.

    S2 Custom 24... meh

Plus one: I can afford many things new, I just do not like to spend more than I have too. But if I like it enough and I can't get a deal, I will buy it.

Should fretboard binding/finish issues on a new SE be a deal breaker?

Late to this post but my Torero fret board is not like that. It has no defects, and it came from Korea just like yours did. send it back.

Article: 10 Ways to Optimize Your Guitar

I taught myself to do set ups on my cheap guitars and making them better by replacing parts. Which led to my friends having me do work for them to make their guitars or basses better. After awhile people called me out of the blue saying I heard you do good work, how much do you charge...

What do you guys think of putting Burstbuckers into an SE custom 24?

I don't know if they're available but you can check self tapping machine screws the same size I think its 3- 42 for most humbucker style pickup mounts otherwise you can also go to like a Home Depot and rent a set of taps and dies

I really dig YouTube for guitar lessons

If I were to open a music store with instructors make sure all the instructors even the older ones like me were able to do searches and find the material that the student wants to learn. Learn it and prepare the lesson to match the student's skill, but also tell him/ her this is a simplified...

Buckle rash prevention on your new PRS...recommendations?

I had thick terry cloth hand towels, a light blue for faded blue jeans a dark blue for dark blue jeans I folded it in half and tucked it between my belt and jeans and flipped the rest over the top of the buckle to drape over even the bigger cowboy buckles. I never once had buckle rash.

    Zach Myers SE Production delays???

All the asian made brands have hard to nail delivery times as so many things can effect delivery. They don't ship them by air so that means a container ship and many of the asain manufacture make multiple brands so if the fall behind making brand x guitars the can't retool to make the next run...

What do you guys think of putting Burstbuckers into an SE custom 24?

I had pickups that did not fit the guitar and the guitar tech fixed that problem in a day. He cut off the excess and rebent the legs so they would fil the cavity drilled a hole and tapped it for the thread. I would not have done that myself at the time, but now that I have modded a bunch of...

KIDS! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! LOL!

I hate when artist break guitars, but that band looked like the were playing a block party, and a band like that might not be able to afford a loss like that. I know one friend who broke his one and only guitar, in his twenties and he could not buy a replacement for over a year. He borrowed...

    Polepieces out of alignment

The whole idea of learning to play without looking at the fret board is great, for those who have learned this. I am not a great player, but after 30 years I am as good as I am going to get. I can play without looking sometimes, (for a couple of songs even) but then an itch in my head occurs...
