Nice demo. It still sounds great with the new US pickups. None of the Velas I've owned have smelled like potatoes, though.

This right here, although I will probably snag one of the new ones at some point to see how it compares. I wish they came without birds, but I do like birds. The bridge is the most important part of the Vela magic, and PRS makes more than enough guitars with trems.

Where are you seeing the prices?

There's a pretty dramatic change today, the Vela now has US pickups (all S2s now have US pickups and electronics!) and the neck pickup is a Narrowfield. I'll need to try one to see what I think...

As an HX Stomp XL user, I can say that all of the stock presets are not great. Purchased presets might be good, but they definitely need to have the EQ tweaked to match your gear - but the best way to go about it is to build your own presets from scratch. If you're not sure how to go about that...
